Project Kick-off
Thursday, February 27 | 1:30pm

Hunters Woods Fellowship House
Please join us as we kick-off a major renovation project on the 225 unit Hunters Woods Fellowship House.

We are investing $12 Million to modernize and upgrade this important community landmark that helps so many seniors who otherwise could not afford to live in the Reston area.

Please join us to hear from all the key stakeholders – including the residents – what this project means to them and to the community!
CELEBRATING AND SUPPORTING
On a chilly evening, December 18, some 75 guests gathered together at the new, state-of-the-art retirement community, Hunters Woods at Trails Edge , for "A Winter Wonderland!" holiday fundraiser in support of the mission of Fellowship Square – to provide affordable housing and services to seniors with low incomes and resources.

The festive evening included a lavish dessert reception, wine, beer, and a raffle with lots of prizes and a few ‘featured’ items such as a $700 painting by artist Jan Dittmar, tickets to a Washington Wizards game, exquisite jewelry by Kendra Scott and more!

View our photo gallery to see more pictures of all the fun.

CHRISTY'S CORNER
Where Were you in 1960?

A new year is upon us and we’ve just “wrapped” up a wonderful holiday season. I’m so thankful for all that we accomplished in 2019 and for all the support and dedication that you and many others provided to us and the Fellowship House residents.

The magic of the season is in the spirit of giving and that magic brings a number of blessings to the residents who call Fellowship House their home. The warm generosity you and so many others have shown us continues to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents.

In 2019, numerous churches, business and individuals gave generously. We achieved many goals we set for ourselves and closed the year with the residents feeling like they are part of a family.

Some of the holiday highlights worth mentioning - Fellowship House residents received turkeys for Thanksgiving dinner; we held a successful canned food drive that fully stocked the new food pantry at Largo Landing Fellowship House; new yoga and Zumba classes have started; and volunteers served hot meals and planned memorable celebrations at each Fellowship House.

We’re especially proud to be kicking off our 60 th  Anniversary year (2020) with so many generous donors, community partners, Board Members, volunteers and supporters. We are making tremendous progress to renovate and modernize two of our Fellowship Houses (Lake Anne and Hunters Woods); add more programs and services for residents; and elevate our property management operations to resident-centered and industry best practices. These efforts have taken much dedication and attention from staff – both Fellowship Square staff and the SL Nusbaum staff who manage our properties every day.

Each time I visit a Fellowship House, residents tell me how much they appreciate all that we do for them – and that’s only possible because of your willingness to give. Whether through your time, talents or treasure, your support shows them that there are people who care and people who are willing to lend something of themselves to make the residents’ lives a little better.

I greatly appreciate your generous support in 2019 and I look forward to counting you as a valuable supporter during our 60 th  Anniversary year!

With gratitude,
