New Resources Available-Generosity Pastor & Leaders Kit

UMCGiving.org has put together a resouce kit for pastors and leaders to talk to your congregation about the connection of the UMC and the impact that makes in the lives of individuals around the world.

Bulletin cover art, sermon starters, offering slides, videos and much more are included. You are invited to use these resources throughout the year and especially in the Fall as you begin Stewardship Campaigns.

Is Your Church A Participant in Dollars for Scholars?

The United Methodist Dollars for Scholars program sponsored by the United Methodist Higher Education Foundation provides $1,000 matching scholarships to United Methodist full-time students who have received a $1,000 scholarship from their local United Methodist Church to help them attend a United Methodist-related college, university, or seminary.

The Quadruple Your Dollars component of the program includes additional contributions of $1,000 each from the college, university, or seminary and the United Methodist Foundation of Michigan to qualified applicants . Read more about the United Methodist Foundation of Michigan's involvement here.

IRS Announces 2020 IRA and 401(K) Contributions Amounts

On November 6, 2019, the IRS announced the 401(k) and IRA Contribution limits for 2020. Individuals over age 50 may make a catch-up contribution of $1,000 for a total transfer of $7,000 in 2020.
