Building A Shared Vision Together
The City of Jacksonville is proud to announce the launch of the MyJax Community Connect Dashboard developed by the Office of Strategic Partnerships. This dashboard highlights the City of Jacksonville’s quality of life investments within the ten community goals outlined in the Community Goals Framework and streamlines access to published reports and presentations. It provides an ‘at a glance’ look at the City’s $1.6 billion in quality of life investments for Fiscal Years 2019-22 by utilizing interactive charts and tables, and it promotes transparency, alignment, and collaboration.

By strengthening the connection between the City of Jacksonville and cross-sector partners, our community is better able to address complex community issues and leverage opportunities. This dashboard serves as a critical platform to engage with community members and partners by providing the necessary information to shape the future of our city. We must work together to create a more vibrant, thriving city for all Jacksonville residents.

Community Goals Investment Summary
Fiscal Years 2019-2022 Highlights:
Goal 1: Quality Places - Over $274.8 million allocated in COJ and grant funds across seven departments. These investments include $12.8 Million for the MOSH and Riverwalk at the Shipyards CIP project, over $10 million to Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville for Cultural Services Grants and Art in Public Places, approx. $2.3 million for the Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing Park, $50 million for Special Committee on Parks and Quality of Life Projects, and over $14 million for Jacksonville Public Library digital and print resources. 

Goal 2: Resilient Infrastructure and Natural Resources - Over $456.7 million in COJ and grant funds across five departments. This includes $14 million in FEMA and COJ funds dedicated to flood and hazard mitigation, over $62 million for McCoy’s Creek CIP projects, over $14 million for the Emerald Trail, and over $10 million specifically for resilience infrastructure and hardening. 

Goal 3: Vibrant and Thriving Neighborhoods - Over $129 million in COJ and grant funds across three departments. This includes over $25 million for sidewalk construction and repair, over $18 million in SHIP funds and $10 million in HUD HOME funds for housing programs, over and $4 million to Lift Jax and Ability Housing in American Rescue Plan funds for affordable housing. 

Goal 4: Innovation and Economic Development - Over $71 million in COJ and grant funds across six departments. Investments include over $35 million for direct COVID-19 Business Economic Support, over $2.3 million for military base encroachment protection and mission advocacy, over $1.3 million to Goodwill for the Mayor’s Youth At Work Partnership, and approx. $27 million for two COVID-19 small business relief programs. 

Goal 5: Equitable and Shared Prosperity - Over $49 million in COJ and grant funds across eight departments. This includes over $29 million in CIP funding for ADA Compliant infrastructure, over $8.9 million for Juvenile Justice programs, and over $1.4 million for human trafficking related funding, and over $1.2 million for preteen/teen programs and the youth travel fund.

Goal 6: Economic Mobility - Over $138.5 million in COJ and grant funds across six departments. This investment includes over $5 million in veterans services, over $4.4 million in emergency assistance administered by the Social Services Division, and over $56 million for the COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program. 

Goal 7: Quality Education - Over $73.6 million in COJ and grant funds across six departments. This includes over $41 million for out of school time/afterschool programming, $2.5 million for the Jacksonville University College of Law Downtown Campus, and over $8.4 million for early learning programs. 

Goal 8: Health and Wellness - Over $292 million in COJ and grant funds across nine city departments & offices. This includes over $5.5 million for Duval County Health Department, over $91.5 million to UF Health Jacksonville for indigent health care, and over $13 million to Jacksonville’s six free and charitable health clinics.

Goal 9: Food Security and Nutrition - Over $20.8 million in COJ and grant funds across four departments. This includes over $7.9 million seniors, $5.2 million for youth programs, and over $3 million specifically for northwest Jacksonville neighborhoods. 

Goal 10: Public Safety - Over $135 million in COJ and grant funds across seven departments. This includes over 12.6 million for traffic calming and signals, more than $26.8 million for JFRD prevention and preparedness services, training, and equipment, over $10.8 million for violence intervention and prevention programs (includes domestic violence), and more than $64.5 million for JFRD capital improvement projects.
