University of Pennsylvania - The Summer Undergraduate Internship Program (SUIP)

The SUIP program dates for 2017 will be from June 5 through August 11. Each intern receives a competitive stipend, on-campus housing, and transportation costs for one round trip to the University of Pennsylvania.

University of Arizone - The Summer Undergraduate Internship Program (SUIP)

The Biosphere 2 REU provides 10 undergraduates an opportunity to conduct guided research in environmental and Earth systems science at a leading and unique research institution. Students will receive stipends of $5,000 for the 10-week research internship, housing on the Biosphere 2 campus, $500 to cover travel costs to and from Tucson, AZ and a food allowance. For 2017, the program runs from June 5 to August 11.

University of Nebraska- Lincoln Summer Research Program 

The University of Nebraska's summer program offers research opportunities in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields in addition to an interdisciplinary  Minority Health Disparities  program aimed at converting cutting edge social and behavioral research into an understanding and reduction of health disparities among minorities.

SOARS is an undergraduate to graduate program built around a summer research internship, mentoring by  top scientists and engineers,  a nd a supportive learning community.

This program places minority students interested in journalism as a career and who want to learn about science writing at Science Magazine for 10 weeks over the summer. Interns experience what it's like to cover the scientific and technological issues that shape our global community.

In order to serve the community, we seek talented individuals from City Heights or similar backgrounds, who can relate to and are dedicated to addressing the challenges of urban communities.

The Summer Clinical and 
 Translational Research Program
The Summer Clinical and Translational Research Program (SCTRP) is a ten-week mentored, summer research program designed to enrich the pipeline of college students' understanding of and interest in pursuing clinical and/or translational research, as well as to increase exposure of college students from groups underrepresented in medicine and from disadvantaged groups to clinical/translational research.

The Visiting Research Internship Program (VRIP)
 The The Visiting Research Internship Program (VRIP) is an eight-week mentored, summer research program designed to enrich medical students' interest in research and health-related careers, particularly clinical/translational research careers.

Students engaged in undergraduate research/scholarship activities and creative works are eligible to become Research Scholars regardless of funding source or formal program affiliation.
Travel Awards

Are you presenting your research at a conference soon? 

You may qualify for the OUR Travel Award!

The OUR may award up to $500 per student (or up to $1,000 per group) to present original research, scholarly, or creative projects at a regional or national conference. All travel must be completed by June 30, 2017.
