Community Input Wanted for Recreation Needs Assessment

The City of Boca Raton's Recreation Services Department is launching a campaign for community engagement to determine needs and priorities for the future of Boca Raton's parks, trails, beaches, libraries, recreation facilities, athletic fields, programs and services. Members of the public are invited to the first kick-off meeting which will be held on June 13 from 5:30pm to 7pm at the Downtown Library (400 NW 2 Ave).

Turn Off Maps & Save Your Phone Battery... There's a New Way to Find Your Way Around Downtown Boca

Next time you're walking around Downtown Boca, look down at the sidewalk and you'll see a new addition that helps people find popular attractions downtown.

Downtown Boca recently installed pavement signs to highlight downtown attractions and help guide visitors, while also providing pedestrians a little bit of art in an unexpected place -- at ground level. The signs were designed to assist the growing number of visitors to the downtown district. Each sign highlights two downtown attractions with directional arrows and the estimated number of feet to reach each destination.
The City Brings Infrastructure into the Future with iSIP

Did you know that the City has over 1,200 miles of pipelines underground? Some of the oldest pipes date back to the 1940s. These underground pipes are crucial to providing the City's high-quality water service. In order to maintain the highest level of service, the City recently launched iSIP, an innovative, proactive and collaborative program that uses technology to assess and prioritize the rehabilitation of underground water pipes in City neighborhoods.

To learn more about the program, visit iSIP or watch coverage of iSIP on WPTV.
