Spotlight On Sanitation
In-house services to provide best quality for Boca residents
With over 50 employees, the City’s Sanitation Division is arguably one of the hardest working crews in town. They are awake and on their routes before most people’s alarms have even gone off. It doesn't take much imagination to envision what our lives would be like if garbage pick-up didn't happen for a week or two.
After considering the possibility of contracting sanitation services to a private hauler earlier this year, the City Council recommitted its support for expanding sanitation services -- that means new trucks, additional drivers and collectors, expanded maintenance and storage facilities and newer technology for safety and customer service.

Dorian's Damage
It's Peak Season for Hurricanes
While we are breathing a sigh of relief in South Florida, Dorian's catastrophic wrath has devastated the Bahamas and continues to threaten the southeastern United States. This close call was a sobering reminder of how we need to prepare now, more than ever, for the next named storm. Our hearts go out to the Bahamas, and we encourage you to seek reputable organizations to whom you can donate and provide support. We all know too well that it could have been us.
Let's consider this past week as a dry run or dress rehearsal. If you haven't already, make sure your pre-storm plans are ready. We have a helpful
checklist and resources on our website, like supplies, evacuation plans and more.
