Police Services Headquarters Project
Built nearly 40 years ago, the current headquarters no longer reflects the space, technology and operational needs of modern policing. Now, the City is planning for the future of its Police Department Headquarters to ensure officers and staff have the facilities and resources needed to serve a growing community.
City Council approved ballot language for a $125 million bond referendum, which will be presented to voters in March 2027. If approved, the funding would support a new Police Headquarters, 911 communications center, downtown police component and more. Learn more.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors
When a maintenance issue required the Town of Highland Beach to take its water storage tank offline, Boca Raton’s Utility Services supplied drinking water - purchased by the Town - through an existing connection between the two municipal water systems. This allowed Highland Beach residents to maintain reliable service and highlighted the value of regional partnerships and shared infrastructure.

Heads Up Boca! Thanksgiving Safety
Have a safe and stress-free holiday with these tips from Boca Raton Fire Rescue:
- Make sure all smoke alarms are working.
-
Don’t leave your food unattended on the stove or in the oven (#1 cause of fires!)
- Move anything that can catch fire — oven mitts, towels, etc. — away from stove top.
- Store fire extinguishers in plain sight.
-
Frying a turkey? Do it outside at least 10 ft away from your house, do not overfill the pot with oil, and make sure turkey is completely thawed and dry beforehand (find out why).
- Never put water on a grease fire.

A Life-Saving Reunion for Boca Raton Fire Rescue
Boca Raton Fire Rescue recently welcomed the first recipient of on-scene whole blood back to meet the firefighter-paramedics who treated him following a serious car accident. Through its new Whole Blood Program, Fire Rescue was able to administer whole blood, providing critical, life-saving care before he reached the hospital. Seeing him return on his feet was a powerful reminder of the program's impact. Thank you to Delray Medical Center for the care and support that helped him on his road to recovery.
