Heads Up Boca! Summer Grilling

There’s nothing better than grilling in the summer, but safety comes first. Whether you're searing steaks or skewering kabobs, follow these simple tips from Boca Raton Fire Rescue Services to keep your cookouts safe:

  • Grill only outdoors, never indoors or in enclosed spaces.
  • Keep grills away from homes, railings, and overhanging branches.
  • Maintain a three-foot kid-and-pet-free zone around the grill.
  • Clean your grill regularly to prevent grease fires.
  • Never leave a lit grill unattended.
  • For gas grills, always open the lid before lighting.

See more tips specific to charcoal and propane grills. Stay safe Boca, and happy grilling!
