The governance and policy making responsibilities of the Chamber are vested in our Board of Directors, which controls our property, directs our finances, and directs our affairs. After careful consideration, the Nominating Committee, in accordance with Article IV, Section 3 of our by-laws, hereby presents a slate of seven candidates to serve a three-year term. Each candidate is an active member in good standing and has agreed to accept all responsibilities of directorship. They are leaders that together with the returning board members represent a cross section of the parish and business community.
The 2027-2029 Board of Directors nominees are:
- Jamie Andrepont, AFX Pro, LLC
- Matt Guidry, The Time Picayune/New Orleans Advocate/St. Tammany Farmer
- Les Hall, St. Tammany Health System
- Rory Hebbler, First Horizon Bank
- Chris Hnatyshyn, Kyle Associates, Inc.
- Ted Longo, The Longo Group
- Theresa Orgeron, JJL&W Insurance Consulting Firm
- Michelle Schellinger, Renasant
Additional advisory board members will be appointed by the Chairman of the Board for a one-year term to enhance communications with other business groups and non-profits to enable the Chamber to better serve our members.
Nomination by petition:
Additional candidates can be nominated by petition bearing the genuine hand-written signatures of at least fifty (50) qualified members of the Chamber. Such petition shall be filed with the Nominating Committee by 12:00 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2026. All petitions must be delivered to the Chamber office at 610 Hollycrest Blvd., Covington.
If additional candidates are presented by qualified petition, a ballot will be prepared in order, drawn by lot and again sent to the membership. The seven individuals receiving the greatest number of votes will be declared at the next board meeting. If no petition is filed, the seven nominees will be declared elected.
