Happy New Year, Denver!
There is a lot happening in our country right now and it can be unnerving, and one can feel helpless. However, it is important to remember that in our democracy, the power rests in the people, but only when we engage.
Civic action and engagement does not have to be complicated. It can be as simple as registering to vote or updating your voter registration ahead of this year’s primary and mid-term general elections.
We also begin 2026 with an important update: All Denver Clerk & Recorder services are now consolidated under one roof! As of Dec. 29, all Recording and Public Trustee services — including marriage licenses, land recordings, deeds of trust, foreclosure services and other legal filings — have moved to our main office at 200 W. 14th Ave., the longtime home of the Denver Elections Division. Services remain unchanged, and residents can continue to count on the same high-quality services from our experienced team.
As we move through 2026, I encourage you to stay engaged, take action and double check your voter registration, encourage others to do the same. The strength of our democracy depends on your participation.
In solidarity,
