Less Than 100 Days Until General Election, Act Now!

Dear Denver neighbors,

August is here, and that means there are less than 100 days until the November Presidential General Election. Now is the time for action! Register to vote, check on your voter registration, and encourage your circle to do the same. Your participation in every election is important. While voters will be choosing the next President and Vice President of our country this November, they will also be electing the next leaders of our state, our city, and our community.

There are a few things to keep in mind as you prepare for the General Election. Vote early. The ballot this November will be extensive as there are many proposals and initiatives to vote on. Voting early gives you the convenience of researching the candidates and ballot initiatives from the comfort of your home, as well as filling out and submitting your ballot at your convenience. You can vote early by mail or by dropping off your ballot in one of our elections drop boxes available 24 hours a day.

This election, make sure you are getting the correct elections information when voting…and our team can help! This month, our team launched our new Elections Q&A Fact-Checker. This public resource is a great tool for combating misinformation and is easily accessible for our Denver voters.

Lastly, we are looking for community members to join our team and help work this upcoming election. If you’re interested, join us at our Denver Elections Job Fair on Saturday, August 17 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Denver Elections Division. Be apart of history in running one of the largest elections our country has seen.  We can’t forget that elections are run by the people, for the people. It’s our own neighbors and communities that are on the front lines ensuring our elections are fair, accurate and secure.

Remember Denver, you play a crucial role in defending our democracy.

In solidarity,

Hon. Paul D. López,

Denver Clerk and Recorder
