As we get closer to the last day to vote (Tuesday, Nov.5), 39 vote centers will also open in phases if you want to vote in-person or if you spill coffee on it and need a replacement ballot.
However, because this is the longest ballot in Denver’s history, I’m asking you to vote early. Take advantage of the fact that we don’t have to take the day off work to stand in long lines like so many other places in the country. Here in Denver, we have three whole weeks to research and return our ballots – so make a plan to get yours in early!
This ballot has 25 important questions and candidates for multiple offices. We have released our online Ballot Information Booklet to help you research. Voting early also extends a helping hand to the 1,2000 citizen election workers putting in long hours to ensure your vote is secure and counted accurately. And a bonus to you – you'll stop getting those pesky calls and texts from the campaigns!
While many in our Denver communities don’t have the privilege to vote, remember that everyone has a role in democracy. For example, you can still encourage those who can vote to make their voice heard, drive or help voters to their nearest drop-box or voting center, share our trusted information on social media and even put one of our “Let’s Vote” signs in your yard or window.
My team and I will be out and about in Denver. Join us as we talk elections at one of our Democracy Town Halls, where you can pick up Denver Votes gear! As always, if there are any questions regarding the elections process, count on us as your trusted source of information.
Denver, your vote is your voice.
In Solidarity,
