Together We are making Palmetto Bay An Even Better Place To Live, Work, Learn And Play!
Dear Friends and Neighbors:

Finally some cooler weather to accompany the holidays! It was a perfect weekend to celebrate the even cooler Cry Baby Creamery 1st Anniversary with friends and neighbors from all over the South Dade area. Congrats to Todd and John and thank you for your investment in the Village! Click here to check out some of the photos.

Last Monday, in addition to our Council meeting, the newly re-elected Village Council was sworn in. You can listen in to my comments by clicking here. The Swearing in was followed by our Regular Council Meeting. Check out Councilmember Cody's animated recap here. You can also view the Log of Final Action taking by the Council by clicking here.

Tonight we have our Zoning Hearing. There are several items that will be discussed this evening, including the 2nd Reading of an item that will modify the thresholds for the administrative review process, placing the responsibility on the Council where it belongs. The goals of these amendments are to increase public awareness of certain development projects and allow the Village Council proper governance of the Land Development Code. The agenda also includes the proposed zoning map change will reflect the creation of the Old Cutler Neighborhood Commercial District on 168th and OCR. The new zoning district is comprised of eleven properties. Click here for the agenda and how you can participate.

I look forward to seeing you in and around the Village for the upcoming events and I encourage you to stay tuned into reliable information sources.
