Jennifer L. Gwilym, DO Nominated to National ACOFP Board of Governors


The Ohio ACOFP proudly congratulates Dr. Gwilym on her nomination for the position of Governor on the ACOFP Board of Governors. The ACOFP Leadership Development Committee has recommended her to the ACOFP Congress of Delegates for election to this prestigious role. Dr. Gwilym is nominated for a one-year term set to begin on April 2, 2025.


The Congress of Delegates will confirm this nomination, with the formal election scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Her term will officially commence during the first meeting of the new ACOFP Board of Governors on Saturday, April 5, 2025.


We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Gwilym, recognizing her exceptional dedication, hard work, and volunteer commitment to the ACOFP, Ohio ACOFP, OOA, AOA, and numerous other osteopathic initiatives.

The Ohio ACOFP signed onto a coalition letter with over 40 Ohio healthcare associations opposing Ohio HB 319, titled the "Conscientious Right to Refuse Act," seeks to prohibit discrimination against individuals who decline certain medical interventions—such as biologics, vaccines, pharmaceuticals, or gene-editing technologies—due to reasons of conscience, including religious convictions.
