Fourth Quarter 2018
President’s Message
It continues to be a pleasure to serve you this year as your Chapter President. As we wind down 2018, I would like to remind everyone that through year end we have a special membership offer on the table. For just $100.00 you can belong to the Ohio CCIM Chapter for the remainder of this year and all of 2019. This will unlock special rates for Ohio CE classes, events and other chapter activities throughout the year!
In case you missed it, we had a very special event on August 17 th in Cincinnati. CCIM’s and other professionals had an opportunity to network with city, county, state and national decision makers to hear what industry experts had to say about the political and economic landscape, the commercial real estate market and the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. Held at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, the Ohio CCIM Chapter and BisNow hosted an amazing event. Special thanks to SVN|Ricore Investment Management, Inc. and John Rickert, CCIM (Ohio Chapter Board Member) as well as their gracious in-house team for coordinating this program.
Mark your calendars now for important dates in 2019, including the Midyear Governance meeting to be held in San Antonio, March 31-April 3, and the Annual Governance meeting and Conference next year in sunny San Diego, October 12-16.

As always, I would like to extend a personal invitation if you are interested in getting more involved. Call me anytime, (614) 203-8188 or email me to discuss.

Tech Corner
After several months of battling, both in court and in cyberspace, CCIM’s Site To Do Business was restored on August 8 th. All of your previous login information should have been retained. Be sure to use the permanent site to log in: If you haven’t used this terrific resource, there is a wonderful collection of tools in the Learning Center (which can be found on the home page) that will assist in everything from running simple reports to performing sophisticated trade area analysis.  Question? The solutions center can be reached at 800-621-7027 option 2 during normal business hours.
Education Update
In 2019, we have an exciting schedule of classes. We will kick off the year by offering the Commercial Real Estate Negotiations course. Recently updated into a one-day, live format, this class will not only fulfill the requirement to achieve the CCIM designation but also will help existing CCIMs sharpen their skillset. Other courses that will be held include CI101, CI103 and Foundations for Success. Keep an eye out for the final schedule, which will be released in late October.
