OHIO HOUSE PASSES HARMFUL BWC BUDGET BILL
The House passed the Bureau of Workers' Compensation biennium budget bill, or House Bill 80 this past week. HB 80 contains provisions that will negatively impact Ohio's business community and workers' compensation system.

HOUSE REINTRODUCES AUXILIARY CONTAINER UNIFORMITY BILL
The House State and Local Government Committee reintroduced House Bill 242 last week, an auxiliary container uniformity bill. HB 242 defines auxiliary containers and preempts local jurisdictions from imposing a fee, charge or tax on them.

KEY WORKFORCE BILLS MOVE THROUGH HOUSE COMMITTEE
House Bills 2 and 4 passed through the Ohio House Economic and Workforce Development Committee last week. The Ohio Chamber of Commerce supported both pieces of legislation through the committee process and believe that both bills will be helpful to employers in attempting to bridge the workforce gap.

ANOTHER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TOOL TO KEEP OHIO'S BUSINESS CLIMATE STRONG
Recently, the Ohio Senate Finance Committee favorably reported Senate Bill 39. This bill will provide an insurance premium tax credit for an investment in a project defined as a transformational mixed-use development.
