Ohio Insurance Institute Resources and Awards

A reminder that the Ohio Insurance Institute (OII) offers online resources you can use with your students. In addition, you will find information below on resources available from InVEST, Next Gen Personal Finance, and Junior Achievement of Central Ohio.

OII’s Insurance Educator of the Year Award- Nominations Due February 10, 2023. Do you know a teacher doing an outstanding job instructing on insurance/financial literacy topics in the classroom? Then nominate them for OII’s Insurance Educator of the Year award. The teacher and school receive monetary awards so it’s well worth your effort to nominate a teacher – or yourself – for this award.

Nominate a teacher online. The 2022 award winner was Cheyenne Moran from Miami East High School.

Nominations are due by February 10, 2023. Once the nomination deadline has passed, all nominated teachers will receive an email from the OII requesting material submissions to assist in the selection process.

New This Year – Project Summary Form

Has your chapter developed a National Program-related project? Tell us about it in the FCCLA Portal. (FCCLA Portal > Program Awards> Project Summary Form) Ohio FCCLA wants to hear about your projects, even if you do not want to complete the form to be submitted for National Program Awards. There are only four questions to answer, and it helps Ohio and National FCCLA know how many chapters are active across the country! This option does not enter your project into the process of being evaluated for a National Program Award monetary prize.
