The FCS application will not open till February 1, 2016 due to other IT related issues we have been experiencing. Endowment News
|
The purpose of the Ohio FCCLA Endowment is to provide a permanent, non-profit source of funding to support leadership opportunities through various FCCLA initiatives. The fund was established July 1, 1991. The Endowment is administered by a Board of Trustees to assist the Ohio FCCLA Association in its mission to develop bright, responsible leaders. The Endowment has supported the Association through sponsoring statewide events, scholarships, leadership development, and recognition awards for members and chapters.

Board of Director Positions Available
With the new structure of the FCCLA Board of Directors the following positions are open:
- 2 Family and Consumer Sciences educators
- 1 Hospitality and Tourism educator
- 1 Education and Training educator
The term is a three year term beginning in the fall of 2016. Meetings are held twice per year, September and February. Anyone interested please complete the attached
application and return to

State Recognition and Applications

State and National Programs Awards
This year the State Projects have been aligned with national programs. Ohio will be evaluating each application and will recognize the top three in each of the 7 national program areas. If you completed a State Project and would like to apply for recognition, see the State Project to national program alignment on the Ohio FCCLA website to see which project fits best. All applications will be completed through the national FCCLA affiliation system. Applications are due to Nationals by March 1, 2016.
Spirit of Advising
The Spirit of Advising Award recognizes chapter advisers who are constantly faithful, often quietly working behind the scenes to ensure the success of their students through Family and Consumer Science Education and the FCCLA organization. Applications can be found on Ohio FCCLA website. Application are due to Ohiofccla@education.ohio.gov by March 1, 2016.
Service Learning Award
Recognition will be given at State Leadership Conference to FCCLA members who track hours using the Service Learning Hours Tracking Portal on the Ohio FCCLA website. In addition to recognition, awards will be given to the school who tracks the most hours and to the top three members with the most hours tracked. Deadline to submit hours is March 1, 2016. Thus far this year 1,452 hours have been tracked.
Endowment Challenge
This year The State Executive Council has issued a challenge to all chapters to help support Ohio FCCLA Endowment by donating a minimum of $25.00. The Endowment offers scholarships for FCCLA members, supports Ohio FCCLA state events as well as Regional Competitive Events. All chapters that meet this challenge will be recognized at State Leadership Conference.

Early Childhood Education STAR Event
|
This year the theme for Early Childhood Education is "On the Farm or at the Zoo". Students can choose which area they would like to make the focus of their project.

FCCLA You've got Talent Auditions
|
This year the FCCLA "You've got talent" competition will be accepting additional submissions of talent for this year's competition. Two additional talents will be added to the four talents that have already been identified at this year's Fall Leadership Conferences.
Auditions for these two spots will be held through online video submissions. These videos are to be no more than 5 minutes in length and should be submitted to

by March 1, 2016. The two talents chosen to perform as part of the "You've Got Talent" competition will be notified by April 1, 2016.
