Please note that the deadline for signing up individuals and teams for our regional competitive events is January 12, 2021.

Regional Competitive Event Registration Deadline
$1,000 for your HOSA Chapter!
Are you wondering how you can get funding for your HOSA students' participation in regional competitions, SLC, ILC? I am pleased to forward this email from Donate Life who is sponsoring an opportunity to potentially have your chapter earn up to $1,000. The top three chapters will receive awards of $1,000 for first place; $500 for second place; and $250 for third place.

Donate Life has agreed to extend the competition deadline to January 31, 2021. Please read the forwarded email and subsequent attachment. If you have additional questions please contact Jenny Hudak at the contact information listed on the attachment.

All applicants must complete the "Intent to Serve Application" and upload it to Tallo.
The form can be accessed by clicking on the below button and at Ohio HOSA website under the Resources Tab.

Updated Regional Competitive Events Details
The Competitive Events Committee met on December 2nd. As a result of our meeting we are pleased to share an updated details for the 2021 Regional Competitive Events. Please read carefully the major modifications for this year. The attached will also be posted to the Ohio HOSA website under the Events Tab, Regional Competitions. Encourage your competitors to access this information on the website.

-- This year's regional competitive events will be held virtually for all seven regions.

-- Each chapter may enter up to four individuals in each individual event and up to four teams in each of the competitive events.

-- Registration is $15 per person and includes a specially designed tee shirt.

-- Event guidelines are located at www.hosa.org under the Competitions Tab.

Click on the below button to find the schedule of events along with the format. Additional details are being finalized to assist you and your students in preparation for the competitions. Be sure to check out the new competitive event - Health Informatics. Please contact me with any questions.
Member Affiliation and Participation Dates
We are encouraging all chapters to affiliate their membership prior to the holiday break later this month. This will allow the state association to plan more accurately for the upcoming events.
Additional reminders:
-- Sign up for regional competitions is open until January 12, 2021.
-- Each chapter may register up to four teams and individuals in each event area.
-- When you register your competitors remember to select their tee shirt size so we can drop ship those directly to your school. Tee shirts are included in the registration fee.
-- Applications for students desiring to serve as 2021-22 State officers need to complete the "Intent to Serve" form and upload it to Tallo by December 17, 2020. (Note: any forms requiring an advisor or administrator signature, does not need to be signed - we will follow up with the advisor once the form is completed by the candidate.)
SLC Announcement
In light of the Covid 19 virus this year, we are pleased to announce the following modifications for Ohio HOSA this school year.

State Leadership Conference: The 2021 SLC will be held virtually! The new date for competitions is the week of April 12, 2021. Registration will be $30/attendee and includes a conference tee shirt. Details regarding event schedule and awards program are being finalized.
