All HOSA members will receive conference delegate ID information the same way. The email will be sent by Communique - a subcontractor to National HOSA.

Communique is HOSA’s virtual conference platform and the platform will host you at: General Sessions, allow you to attend any of the 60+ workshops, visit with any or all the exhibitors in the Exhibition Hall, and honor those attaining service and recognition awards in HOSA’s Recognition Hall (listing of Recognition Event winners). There are 60+ workshops for you and your students to watch virtually.

National HOSA - New Classroom Resources
I am excited to share that National HOSA is developing new classroom resources for you and your members. The National HOSA, Inc. Board of Directors Executive Committee has enthusiastically working this summer to address providing value-added resources for advisors as they prepare their students for another exciting HOSA year.

Two Task Forces have been established to provide input to National HOSA Headquarters for development of resources including webinars. The Webinar Series Task Force. chaired by Jim Scott, is focused on developing webinars that can be used for educating and training local members and local chapter officers. We are also developing a series of ideas for webinars to assist local chapter advisors.

The Task Force is comprised of local advisors, state and national officers, and state advisors from across the country. The Task Force will also be recommending frequency of webinars to be released to local advisors. Final recommendations will be forwarded to Headquarters by mid-July. As webinars are developed and released we will be notifying you.
TALL Advisor Training Program
Another educational program developed by National HOSA for local advisor is the TALL Program .

The next HOSA TALL-Bronze Level course offered to Local Advisors by HOSA-Future Health Professionals will run from Monday, July 6th through Sunday, August 9th.

Overall, HOSA TALL is a three (3)-course program for which each course is scheduled to be offered two (2) times per year. The goal of HOSA TALL is to assist with on-boarding new local advisors and create a learning community for which participants learn from course content, the facilitator, and each another.

The Bronze Level course is recommended for local advisors within the first 12 months of becoming a HOSA advisor. State Advisors are asked to forward the  HOSA TALL enrollment form  to local advisors. If you have any difficulty enrolling email me and I will assist you. Enrollment is limited to the first 30 participants, and usernames and passwords will be sent directly to participants. The estimated time commitment for participants in the Bronze Level course is three (3) to five (5) hours per week. The deadline for submission of enrollment forms is June 28, 2020.

Two (2) virtual orientations sessions have been scheduled via Zoom for Wednesday, July 1st from 3-4 pm ET (2 pm CT, 1 pm MT, 12 pm PT) and Sunday, July 5th from 1-2 pm ET (12 pm CT, 11 am MT, 10 am (PT). Course orientation details will be forwarded to enrolled course participants by the course facilitator by June 30, 2020. The Zoom meetings are optional and can be attended by laptop or phone. It is recommended for participants to have a speaker and webcam on their laptop or download the Zoom mobile app to see course navigation. However, an audio call alone will provide an opportunity for questions and answers.

F.A.S.T. Focus Group
Advisors who have registered to participate in the virtual ILC will have the opportunity to sign up to participate in a focus group - First Aid for Severe Trauma (FAST).
The focus groups will help identify barriers and challenges and potential solutions for FAST implementation in states, school districts, and classrooms. In the focus groups, state and local advisors will be asked questions related to their past experiences of curriculum implementation, potential challenges to implementing FAST curriculum, and suggestions to overcome these challenges. There will also provide a brief overview of the FAST curriculum, such as video clips or brief content materials.
Focus groups will be held on June 24th. Click on the following link if you want to potentially sign up for the focus group.
