Welcome back from your well-deserved break.
Because of the short school week you may want to once again review the important information shared last week.
A gentle reminder to all to be certain to get your first semester student affiliations completed prior to the Christmas Break. Only 29 days until Christmas -- who's counting. Let me know how I can be of any assistance to you.
Until next week!

Competitive Event Helpers Needed
|
|
We are all familiar with the phrase, "All Hands on Deck!" In order to conduct quality experiences we need every advisor to help with conducting our regional and state competitive events. Your expertise and assistance along with that of industry representatives will allow us to provide those positive experiences.
Thank you to those advisors who attended the Fall Leadership Conference and signed up to assist with conducting their region and the state competitive events. We understand all advisors could not attend the FLC and we want to reach out to you!
The success of your region's competitive events and the state competition is dependent on many volunteers willing to serve as helpers and judges.
Please download the below form, complete it and email the form to Jim Scott prior to Thanksgiving Break.
We will then copy the form and give the appropriate forms to the respective Region Captain for potential use as they plan and prepare for the regional competition. No teacher will be asked or allowed to judge their own student(s). If you know of others who would be willing to assist, please copy the form and email it to [email protected].

I had a question raised this week from one of our advisors regarding membership/affiliation deadlines. I hope the below clarification will help answer the question:
- Advisors may affiliate students until January 1st. Remember an earlier date of affiliation is required for all who are signing up for competitive events.
- Advisors may affiliate students who enroll in the second semester until March 1st. If you plan for these students to compete in a competitive event at the regional or state level, you will need to sign them up prior to the closing date of their respective regional competitive event registration deadline.
