This 2-day Course is an interactive experience to help negotiators elevate their game! The course examines all types of negotiation formats and methods so that today’s negotiators can play the game to win. A full spectrum of tips, tools, techniques and advantages will be provided so that negotiators can provide effective results for their client.

The second day of the course focuses on real-world field scenarios to help negotiators apply the power tools, techniques and tactics learned on the first day. (12 hrs real estate ce credit)
Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification

When military staff and their families relocate, the services of a real estate professional who understands their needs and timetables makes the transfer easier, faster, and less stressful. The Military Relocation Professional (MRP) certi¬fication course teaches you about working with current and former military service members to find the housing solutions that best suit their needs and take full advantage of military benefits and support.

Ohio REALTORS Spring Legislative Conference
April 29-May 1 @ Columbus Renaissance Hotel /Columbus

Registration and hotel information are now online to register for the upcoming Spring Legislative Conference, April 29-May 1. The Conference will be held at the Columbus Renaissance Hotel, across from the Statehouse. Highlights include:
  • Peg Ritenour and Lorie Garland will conduct a Legal Issues Update on recently enacted legislation, Ohio Administrative Code provisions and best practices to reduce liability (1.5 hours of CE);
  • Ohio REALTORS will host a Major Investors Reception and RPAC Fundraiser on Monday evening at the Athletic Club;
  • Lunchbox Economics will feature Jessica Lautz, NAR's VP of Demographics & Behavioral Insights Research on NAR's 2018 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers;
  • A legislative briefing will be held with both Larry Householder, Speaker of the House and Larry Obhof, President of the Senate;
  • The ever-popular Legislative Reception will be held at the Statehouse Museum Gallery on Tuesday evening;
  • The Business Tech and YPN Network will host Patrick Lilly in Traits of a Successful Agent (1.5 hours of CE);
  • Finally, Ohio REALTORS will once again take part in a Habitat Build on the Statehouse lawn.

Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) Elective - Global Real Estate: Local Markets

May 8 @Ohio REALTORS/Columbus
Global Real Estate: Local Markets is the first of six international courses developed by Global Business and Alliances of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS ® (NAR). This course is designed to introduce real estate professionals to the basic skills and knowledge necessary to facilitate international real estate transactions. This is the prerequisite course required to earn the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation. (6.5 hrs real estate ce credit)
20 Hour Post Licensure for Salespeople

May 7-9 @Cincinnati Area Board of REALTORS/Cincinnati
This course is required of all newly licensed salespeople and is to be completed within twelve months of the date you were licensed. 
As you embark on your new career, it is important for you to understand fully the seriousness of the responsibility you accept when assisting others with real estate transactions. This class will serve as a foundation for the legal and ethical obligations you face. (Not for ce credit)
Property Management

May 9 @Dayton REALTORS/Dayton
Lorie Garland, Ohio REALTORS vice president of legal services, will cover the Division's Property Management Task Force report and implementation of medical marijuana in Ohio.
Lorie will discuss the permit regulation as well as other license law requirements, including property management accounts, advertising, and unlicensed staff. (3 hrs core law ce credit)
Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES ® ) Designation

The SRES Council trains REALTORS to meet the special needs of maturing Americans when selling, buying, relocating, or refinancing residential or investment properties. The Council tracks the over 50 lifestyle and housing issues and educates REALTORS® who are making over 50 real estate a part of their overall business plan. By earning the SRES designation, REALTORS are prepared to approach mature clients with the best options and information for them to make life-changing decisions.
