The Great Lakes Fiber Show is one of the largest fiber shows in the country with more than 100 vendors. Discover the wonders of wool! Watch Farmpark’s sheep shearers remove the wooly winter coats from the sheep. Enjoy the skill and precision of the border collies as they move sheep based on cues given by staff. Learn about the characteristics of the different breeds of sheep that live at Farmpark. Artisans will demonstrate spinning wheels, carding combs, looms and other tools and the techniques required to turn fibers into usable products. Finished projects will be on display. Participate in hands-on crafts and learn about projects you can accomplish at home with wool from Farmpark’s sheep.
