County Highlights

Trumbull County

The Trumbull County START team has hired their family peer mentor as the new START caseworker

Butler, Clinton and Warren Counties

Butler, Clinton and Warren County START teams have all closed cases successfully this month

Coshocton and Guernsey Counties

Coshocton and Guernsey County START teams each accepted their first START case this month

Applications for Cohort 5 are open!

Ohio START is accepting applications for Cohort 5. This year, as a current Ohio START PCSA, if you assist a non-Ohio START county in its decision to apply for cohort 5, your agency will receive $500 to be used in any way for your Ohio START work. To receive the funds, the applying agency must list your agency in their application, question #14. The application can be found here. Applications are due Jan. 14, and counties will be notified of acceptance by Jan. 25.

Join the Ohio START Team

Ohio START and PCSAO are seeking a part-time regional technical assistance consultant to assist with the implementation and sustainability of the Ohio START model in Northeastern Ohio. The consultant will be responsible for providing technical assistance including adhering to model fidelity and enhancing collaboration among community partners. Read more and apply here.

Short film shows recovery is possible

"Being Gina" An Institute for Family Production with Filmmaker Radha Mehta

The Institute for Family has created a short film called "Being Gina" that follows a mother’s journey to finding her inner strength and reconnecting with family after experiencing the removal of her children and overcoming substance use disorder. Gina now helps parents with similar obstacles stay connected with their children through her work as a parent ally.
