Happy New Year! I'd like to share what we anticipate in 2022. Looking ahead, we look forward to welcoming Cohort 5, becoming a Certified State Infrastructure Affiliate, integrating Ohio START as a Family First Prevention Service, and continuing to provide the training and technical assistance START counties need. We are glad you are with is on this journey.

County Highlights

Lorain and Hamilton Counties

Lorain and Hamilton Counties START teams successfully closed cases in December. The Hamilton case had been open since 2019!

Delaware, Lucas, Huron, Mahoning Richland and Trumbull Counties

Delaware, Lucas, Huron, Mahoning Richland and Trumbull County START teams all have new START caseworkers.

Brown, Carroll, and Ottawa Counties

Brown, Carroll and Ottawa County START teams all have new Family Peer Mentors.

Applications for Cohort 5 due next week

Ohio START is accepting applications for Cohort 5. Applications are due Jan. 14, and counties will be notified of acceptance by Jan. 25. This year, as a current Ohio START PCSA, if you assist a non-Ohio START county in its decision to apply for cohort 5, your agency will receive $500 to be used in any way for your Ohio START work. To receive the funds, the applying agency must list your agency in their application, question #14. The application can be found here.

2022 Annual Summit: save the date!

The 2022 Ohio START Summit will be held Wednesday, May 11 at the Fawcett Center, 2400 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43210. We look forward to coming together for another day of inspiration, learning and growth. Look for more information soon.
