STUDENT PARTICIPATION FOR WINTER RECRUITMENT EVENTS
ECS and the Society of Women Engineers hosted 94 employers and 1077 students at the 2021 Virtual SWE Career Fair forming 3589 one-on-one connections!
Intern Week, an annual event designed primarily for first- and second-year students in their pursuit of internship or co-op opportunities, was also held virtually in January. Employers showcased their opportunities and interacted with 243 students who filled 263 spots through mock interviews, resume reviews, elevator pitch practices, and workshops. The week ended with the signature event, Intern Networking Night, where 50 students networked with 20 employer intern representatives.
The College of Engineering welcomes new dean this month!
Ohio State now has an accomplished roboticist, entrepreneur and educator as the Dean of the College of Engineering. We are very excited to welcome Ayanna Howard, PhD to the college!
Howard's previous role was at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she was chair of the School of Interactive Computing in the College of Computing as well as founder and director of the Human-Automation Systems Lab (HumAnS).
