TECHCORPS Hackathon


Ohio TechNet, through the NEO Opportunities in Tech initiative, supported the 2024 TECH CORPS Hackathons, which took place on November 9th in Akron, Cleveland and Elyria, and November 16th in Dayton and Columbus.


Lorain County Community College, Cuyahoga Community College and University of Akron hosted Hackathons in Northeast Ohio.


Nearly 300 high school students participated across the state, and for some, it was their first hands-on experience with coding. TECH CORPS empowers young people with digital literacy, introducing them to technology and skills to be successful in life, school and careers.

Ohio TechNet Celebrates 10 Years!

Ohio TechNet was launched in 2014 with the support of a $15 million USDOL TAACCCT grant. Ohio TechNet started as 11 community colleges sparking the development of dozens of best-in-class educational programs that have trained thousands.

Cleveland State University is hiring for its Earn and Learn program! The Program Manager, Earn and Learn will recruit and manage external relationships with employers for the Earn and Learn Program in the Washkewicz College of Engineering.

The Ohio Technical Skills Innovation Network, or Ohio TechNet (OTN), is a statewide consortium of over 40 community colleges, universities, and technical centers that accelerate innovation to meet manufacturing and tech workforce needs. Facilitated by Lorain County Community College, OTN’s strategic areas of focus include reaching new audiences, expansion of innovative earn and learn, engaging industry, and faculty development.
