Ohio Valley Voices Toddler and Preschool Programs has been awarded a 5-star Step Up to Quality rating for meeting quality standards established by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) and the Ohio Department of Education (ODE)!
Step Up to Quality is a 5-star tiered quality rating and improvement system created to recognize and promote early learning and development programs that meet quality standards over time and that are continuously above the health and safety licensing requirements set forth by the state.
"This 5-star rating is a symbol of the expertise, care, and dedication that our staff demonstrate to the children and families each and every day," said program director Carey Ratliff. "We are proud of our programs for attaining the highest rating that the Ohio Department of Education awards."
born with profound bilateral hearing loss that was diagnosed during a routine infant hearing screening. Pia's family had just moved to Ohio from Washington DC when Pia was diagnosed and they quickly enrolled Pia at OVV. Pia is now a bright eyed, happy 2 year old who loves to come to toddler school! Her favorite school activities are reading books, going for rides in the stroller, and playing with dolls. She also loves Minnie Mouse! Pia has made leaps and bounds of progress, and now uses her words to ask questions, make comments, and sing songs.
Pia's parents, Brittany and John, say, "Pia is so happy everyday walking into school. As two working parents our hearts are full knowing she is with her OVV friends and family."
