Ohio Value Voters is proud to announce the endorsement of Josh Mandel for United States Senate.

Josh has a distinguished record of service in the United States Marines, serving two tours in Iraq. After two terms in the Ohio House of Representatives, Josh served eight years as Ohio Treasurer where he initiated many improvements to the office.

Josh is strongly pro-life. He was the first statewide elected official to support the "Heartbeat Bill." This legislation eliminates and prohibits an abortion after an unborn child’s heartbeat is detected. After many years of urging law makers to pass this bill, it was finally passed and signed into law in 2019.

Josh is an advocate for school choice. He believes parents have the right to seek the best education for their children. Josh is opposed to the radical indoctrination of children in our schools. He plans to make this a priority as our next Senator. Josh also opposed Common Core which Governor Kasich supported.

Josh Mandel is a staunch supporter of our first amendment rights. The Columbus Dispatch reported on May 18, 2007, that House Democrats complained that too many guest ministers were invoking the name of Jesus during their prayers. To appease the Democrats, the Republican Speaker of the House required that all clergy and ministers submit prayers to his office 72 hours in advance. Josh, in opposition to his own party’s leadership stated, “Our country is based on freedom of religion, not a freedom from religion. Clergy of any religion should have freedom to say the opening prayer of their wish.”

John Stover, President of Ohio Value Voters states, “Ohioans have witnessed Josh Mandel embrace Judeo-Christian values for over 15 years. Josh will continue the fight for our family values, the unborn, school choice, against radical indoctrination in the classroom, and our first amendment rights as Ohio’s next Senator.”
