As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve found myself reflecting on the incredible journey of the past twelve months. It has been a year of profound transition, and as I look back, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude for your support in helping us build the infrastructure for a vibrant arts community right here in North Charleston, South Carolina.
A New Chapter
Leaving our established rhythm of Atlanta was a difficult decisions but fully worth it. Starting over in my hometown of North Charleston brought a unique set of challenges—building new relationships from scratch, finding the right spaces, and proving the vision all over again. There were moments where the uphill climb felt steep, but I can say with total certainty that every challenge has been completely worth it. Seeing the creative spark take hold in this community has been more rewarding than I could have imagined.
Key Dates for 2026
The momentum we’ve built together is leading into a massive year, and I would be honored to have you by my side for these major milestones:
- Visionary of the Year Campaign (Announcement in February): I will be formally launching my campaign for the 2026 Blood Cancer United & Forbes Visionary of the Year. This is a cause close to my heart, and I am eager to use this platform to drive real impact within the arts and the small business community.
-
The Dirty Dozen: SALT Solo Exhibition (March 14, 2026): Please join me for my solo exhibition held here in North Charleston. This show is a culmination of this year’s growth and the new perspective I’ve found in this city.
- 3rd Annual Global Art Fair (October 23 & 24, 2026): Please save the dates for our return to Park Circle. This fair has become a cornerstone of our local arts scene, and I can't wait to see it grow even further in its third year.
Thank you for believing in the vision when it was still just a blueprint. Your support has been a cornerstone of this new chapter, and we can’t wait to celebrate these upcoming successes with you.
Wishing you a creative and inspired New Year.
Warmly,
Okeeba Jubalo
