  • Two startup grants of up to $3,000 will be available each year to new mentoring organizations in their first three years of operation. These grants are designed to encourage communities to start quality mentoring programs. Preference will be given to organizations that plan to work in partnership with local public schools.
  • Six opportunity grants of up to $1,500 will be available to existing mentoring organizations to help fund programming, training, materials or other programs that advance excellence in mentoring for K-12 students in Oklahoma. Preference will be given to organizations that work in partnership with local public schools.

Grant applications will be made available November 1, 2021, with funding disbursed on a first come first served basis to qualified organizations.
Learn More About the 2021 Program Award Winners!

A fully equipped bookmobile, a book dispensing vending machine and a program connecting school site needs with community resources have been selected as recipients of the 2021 Outstanding Program Awards for Oklahoma School Foundations presented by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence and its Oklahoma School Foundations Network.

The awards recognize innovative programs sponsored or administered by public school foundations in Oklahoma. Receiving plaques and monetary awards of $1,000 each will be the Trojans Read the Way Bookmobile sponsored by the Jenks Public Schools Foundation; the Get Books, Not Twix! Book Vending Machine sponsored by the Grove Education Foundation for Excellence; and the Community and Schools Together Initiative sponsored by the Putnam City Schools Foundation.

If you would like to learn more about these programs, register now for our final Fall Forum Webinar Wednesdays session. This free webinar will feature leaders from the foundations that sponsor these outstanding programs. They will share more information about the programs and the impact those programs have on students and teachers in their school districts.
Fund for Teachers Fellowships Provide Custom Learning For Your District's Teachers
Fund for Teachers is a unique grant opportunity for K-12 teachers that provides learning Fellowships during the summer months. Teachers decide what they want to learn and where they want to learn it. Their odysseys take them all over the world—as scientists, researchers, artists and agents of change—and they return to their classrooms with new ideas that empower student learning and achievement. Imagine what these transformative experiences can do for your district teachers!

Teachers may apply for up to $5,000 for individual grants or up to $10,000 for team grants. The application period is open online now until 5 pm, January 20, 2022.
