Congratulations to the 2022 Academic All-Staters!

The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence has announced the recipients of its prestigious 2022 Academic All-State Awards. These 100 top public high school seniors, selected from 397 nominations statewide, hail from 75 schools in 67 Oklahoma school districts.

The 2022 Academic All-State class is the 36th to be selected by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence. Since the award program’s inception in 1987, some 3,600 high school seniors from 333 school districts have been named Academic All-State scholars.

Each of this year’s All-Staters will receive a $1,000 merit-based scholarship and a medallion. The All-Staters will be recognized at the foundation’s 36th annual Academic Awards Celebration on Saturday, May 21, at the Omni Oklahoma City Hotel.

Foundations Today E-newsletter, Member News

The National Association of Education Foundations launched their e-newsletter, Foundations Today, in 2021. This newsletter has great information and provides a national perspective on school foundation work. NAEF is actively seeking articles if you would like to submit one. Check out their webpage for more information.

NAEF also features a Member News section on their website, highlighting exciting news from school foundation members across the country. Bartlesville Education Promise was recently featured. Head to the Member News section to check out the article.

OSFN provides half-price membership to NAEF for any Oklahoma school foundation. If you would like to join, forms and more information are available here.
The Oklahoma Equal Opportunity Education Scholarship Act allows Oklahomans that donate to eligible public school foundations or public school districts to reallocate tax liabilities and receive a portion of their gift back in state income tax credits. Gifts to designated educational improvement projects allow donors to support innovative educational opportunities for public school students and save on their state taxes.

School foundations looking to take advantage of this unique donor opportunity can find more information, including sample documents and frequently asked questions on the OSFN website. A checklist for foundations has just been added to the resource section, and is available for download.
