On the 30th Anniversary of the Sister State agreement in 2015, Kyle was invited to represent
Oklahoma for a special New Year’s Eve concert as soloist with the Lanzhou Symphony Orchestra in
the Gansu Province capital city of Lanzhou.
“It’s always such an honor for me to represent Oklahoma and the United States through my music,"
Kyle stated. "My band and I take this opportunity very seriously. I just love how music naturally
brings people together. I think there is a real need for this kind of exchange right now in our world.”
The United States will be represented by not one but two fiddle players from Oklahoma at the Silk
Road International Arts Festival in Xi’an. Jana Jae, the Queen of Country Fiddle and longtime
Oklahoman will be performing at the festival with members of her band. Plans are currently being
formulated to have Kyle and Jana perform together at the event. Having these two award-winning
musicians from Oklahoma on stage together would be quite an honor for the State of Oklahoma as
well as an outstanding pairing for this growing international event.
Kyle Dillingham has represented the United States through performance in 37 countries. This year
Kyle will be officially representing the Mayor of Edmond, Oklahoma on a formal visit with the Mayor
of Qingyang (Edmond Sister City) where he and Horseshoe Road will perform a concert and conduct
cultural activities in the city.
