Hook & Spoon’s 2nd Annual Clam Bake is taking place September 15th & 16th. Come out for live music, Blue Point Brewery Giveaways, fantastic food and a great time on the lake! Tickets are $35 a person and include: 2 dozen clams, chicken BBQ, corn on the cob, salt potatoes & a cold beer.

GENESEE VALLEY HUNT PARADE & OPENING OF THE HUNT

The Opening Meet marks the beginning of the formal foxhunting season. Hounds, staff and subscribers traditionally ride up Geneseo’s Main Street at 7:30 AM from the Wadsworth Homestead to the Hartford House at the north end, and off into the countryside from there.

THE CREATION OF THE KESHEQUA SCHOOL DISTRICT

A half century ago Keshequa Central School opened its doors to students for the first time. The Nunda Historical Society will mark this 50th Anniversary with a special program that provides a brief history of the creation of the new district in 1968. People with ID/DD enjoy the arts as well and it is important that everyone be given the same opportunities. On Thursday, September 20 the Little Lakes Community Association (LLCA) will officially cut the ribbon on their new Center in Hemlock. The public is cordially invited to join in on celebrating this momentous occasion. Following the ceremony, the gym-natorium will also be dedicated in honor of Jack Evans. Tours of the building as well as refreshments will be available. The History Room will feature a “back to school in the old days” display.
