Las Lomas College/Career Center
 
The College/Career Center at Las Lomas is organizing a Friday lunchtime speaker series for the students to learn about different careers. Local business people with interesting backgrounds are needed to share their experiences with the students. Speakers from the following careers are especially wanted: veterinary medicine, dentistry, physical therapy and/or personal training, restauranteur/chef, and the arts. Leadership Contra Costa began its 32nd season on October 4, with its Health & Aging session held at BASS Medical Center in the Shadelands. Thirty-two individuals began their in-depth, eight-month journey learning about all the pressing issues facing our community today.
