"Last night, as I was sleeping,
I dreamt -- marvelous error! --
that I had a beehive
here inside my heart.
And the golden bees
were making white combs
and sweet honey
from my old failures."
~ Antonio Machado

I shared this passage in my Tuesday morning class this week. It seemed important to me as a way to acknowledge and be reminded that we are all in a state of transformation. AND, to acknowledge that so much of our growth is reflected back to us in the time we invest on our yoga mats. It's sometimes the one time, amidst the busy-ness of our days, that we slow down enough to even notice what's going on.... INSIDE.

As we move inward, our awareness of the ways in which we may have faltered in the past can begin to look and feel different. In the light of our practice -- in the PAUSE -- we may be able to more clearly see and KNOW that our so called "failures" were instead detours... a way in which we were guided to something else (perhaps something better!)... or, to a lesson that taught us something important. Understanding that the moments and places in which we have felt broken, cracked, and worn are just opportunities for that light to shine in.

Here's to celebrating who we are, where we have come, and the sweet, sweet honey of the present!
