Honoring Our Local War Veterans
One Mission At A Time
Greetings!

How’s everyone doing out there? I trust you’re keeping safe and enjoying your summer. We’ve been doing OK, but, like you we are missing our veterans and our community. We miss the emotional phone calls to the vets letting them know they are finally getting their chance, we miss the harried flight preparations, we miss the buzz around all the fundraising events that you do for us, and we miss seeing our faithful volunteers and friends who support our efforts here in Wisconsin and in DC.
2020 was supposed to be an epic year for us but having to cancel all our DC based trips and the historic Return to Korea mission left us crestfallen, but not defeated. Old Glory Honor Flight is undeterred and won’t give up. We can’t, not now, our work is too important. Thank you for being there and supporting us even during times like this. Any help you can give us, no matter how small, helps honor another one of our heroes.

p.s. If you’re feeling social, I hope to see you at the Patriotic Picnic on August 22 nd, see below for details.

Many thanks,
Diane

Join us for
a Patriotic Picnic
Patriotic Picnic is a family friendly community event on Saturday, August 22nd at the Fox Cities Stadium. We’ll have a picnic style dinner, soft drinks, cash bar, bingo with prizes, OGHF Pop Up booth, 50/50 raffle, fireworks, movie snacks and a special showing of “ Sijan ”, a documentary film about Capt. Lance P. Sijan, a Medal of Honor Recipient from WI, who served during the Vietnam war.

We have use of the entire ballpark so there's plenty of room to social distance and masks are encouraged!

Thank you to our sponsors: Appleton International Airport,
'SUNFLOWERS TAKING FLIGHT' sponsored by Kelley Country Creamery is almost here! 🌻
The 3rd Annual “Sunflowers Taking Flight” fundraising event will tentatively begin Saturday, August 1st and will last for 10-14 days depending on bloom availability and weather.

Bring the kids and visit the gorgeous sunflower fields. Purchase your own sunflower bouquet and support OGHF! Don't forger to visit the ice cream parlor for Kelley's award winning cones, sundaes, shakes and more!

100% of donations from sunflower bouquets ($10), t-shirts ($15) and hats ($20) will benefit future honor flight missions.
