Don't you just love this photo above? It helps keep us motivated during a flightless year. It says to me, this veteran is loved, appreciated and blessed. That is what we strive for; we want each and every veteran to feel the love and support of his or her community. Soon, we should have a better idea of when we can start flying again in 2021; we're raring to go when the time is right. For now, I have a favor to ask. Do you know of a war veteran who hasn't gone on an honor flight yet? We've already taken close to 6,000 of them but there are many more out there. We hear of vets who say 'let the others go before me' or 'I was stateside so I don't deserve to go' or 'I didn't do anything special', the list goes on and on. When we hear those words, our answer is they didn't get to choose where they served. Heck, I'm sure most vets would have loved the opportunity to serve on a tropical island somewhere but we know it doesn't work that way. They answered the call of duty, left their families, followed orders and fought for us so you and I could be free. Sometimes a gentle nudge helps them apply, other times they may need help navigating our website. If that's the case, have them call me! Our team of dedicated volunteers and I are here to help them apply online and get them on the wait list. Thank you for your support!
