Old Sturbridge Village Extends Holiday Cheer After Christmas
Four dates still available to experience Christmas by Candlelight, Dec. 27-30, 2021

Sturbridge, M.A. – Four dates remain in Old Sturbridge Village’s (OSV) annual Christmas by Candlelight event, inviting visitors to celebrate New England Christmas of the 19th century and today. With a sold-out weekend Dec. 17-19, and sold-out event Dec. 23, guests have just a few days left to experience the sights, sounds and traditions of Christmas past. Tickets are on sale now for Dec. 27-30, with entry times at 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.
Christmas by Candlelight offers festive and interactive activities, including the Christmas Tree Trail, Christmas Wish Bridge, horse-drawn carry-all and holiday crafting traditions. Hours are 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. each evening.
OSV’s Holiday Market and Café will also be open for its last week of the season. Until Dec. 30, visitors can purchase unique and handcrafted holiday décor and trinkets, as well as holiday beverages and snacks. Hours for the Holiday Market and Café are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday-Sunday with extended hours until 8:30 p.m. on Christmas by Candlelight event days. Admission to the museum is not required to shop.
“With many families on holiday break during this time, it’s a wonderful chance to gather and continue celebrating in the Christmas spirit,” said James Donahue, President of Old Sturbridge Village. “We’re pleased to invite visitors to join us for a few more days of holiday cheer, whether it’s your first visit or you’re a returning guest.”
Tickets for Christmas by Candlelight can be purchased online and in advance. Prices are $28 for adult, $14 for youth (ages 4-17). Admission is FREE for children three and under.

About Old Sturbridge Village
Old Sturbridge Village, first opened to the public in 1946, is one of the country's oldest and largest living history museums, celebrating life in early New England from 1790-1840. It is the largest living history museum in the Northeast, celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2021.
