Message from the
Executive Director
Happy spring, Old Town!

Thank you to everyone who kicked off the season with us earlier this week at the 2022 Spring Social and the first 18th District Walk and Talk of the year! It was great to have so many neighbors gathered together again, and we are looking forward to hosting more in-person events in the near future, including our annual Clean and Green on April 23rd and a legislative update with Congressman Mike Quigley in May.

We also continue to celebrate Restaurant Week in Old Town, with many of your favorite local spots offering special menus between now and April 10th that allow you to try a variety of dishes at great prices. If there is a restaurant in the neighborhood that you have been meaning to try, now is the time! Check out the official Restaurant Week Guide to find participating restaurants.

See you around the neighborhood!

Sincerely,

Linda Fleener
Executive Director
Events Recap: March
It's never too early to start planning for the Wells Street Art Festival! The OTMRA was thrilled to provide a Summer Festival Sanitation Course on March 24th for local businesses.

The OTMRA, in partnership with the 18th District, hosted a Walk and Talk on March 30th that provided businesses in the neighborhood with a chance to directly connect with local officers. Thank you to everyone who participated and shared valuable input about the neighborhood!
Additionally, we were thrilled to host our first in-person networking event of the year on March 30th: OTMRA's Spring Social at LG's. Thank you to everyone who braved the rainy weather to attend! We look forward to hosting future in-person events in the neighborhood.
Save the Date: Community Clean-up Saturday, April 23rd
Mark your calendars! The OTMRA will host a Community Clean-Up on Saturday, April 23rd.

The OTMRA is looking for donations of approximately 50 trash bags for this event; please reach out to Rachel to sponsor this event: [email protected].
Chicago Restaurant Week
Ends April 10th
Chicago Restaurant Week is a 17-day celebration of the city's award-winning culinary scene. The 15th annual event brings together hundreds of the area's top restaurants, representing a near-endless array of cuisines.

Chicago Restaurant Week takes place from March 25th through April 10th, 2022.

Volunteer at the Wells Street
Art Festival: June 11th & 12th
The OTMRA is seeking volunteers to run the OTMRA booth at the Wells Street Art Festival 2022. Volunteer tasks include providing information to festival attendees and overseeing sales of Old Town merchandise during the festival.

Each volunteer will receive a complimentary Old Town shirt and mask as a thank-you for volunteering. You don't need to be a current OTMRA member to volunteer - all volunteers are welcome!

If you have any questions, please email Rachel: [email protected].
