The year 2015 is officially coming to a close and we want to thank all of the volunteers, supporters, donors, partners, friends, and community members that make our work possible. Because of your dedication to healthy families, healthy environments, and healthy communities, we continue to grow and reach more families more effectively. We look forward to starting off 2016 strong and to seeing you soon...there is always something new growing at the Gardens!

What We're Up To...December
|

|
|
- Students from National School District and Headstart programs visited for the last field trips of 2015.
- We attended the Chula Vista SDG&E Community Resource Fair and National City's Christmas on Brick Row event as a vendor.
- The Kitchenistas came to the gardens to explore their creativity through art classes hosted by Artist Roberto Salas.
- Families came out for our Food and Farm Family Program to learn together about healthy eating and gardening.
- We hosted an Open House.
- Our high school interns taught a successful For the Health of It program to students from Sweetwater High School.
- We graduated another class of RLA participants. These amazing women have big plans for the health and greening of National City and we look forward to seeing what they accomplish!
- Olivewood celebrated the holidays with International Community Foundation staff and families.

Bring your family out on February 6th for a fun and tasty outing to the Gardens. Harvest veggies together, prepare a meal, and enjoy it together as a family. Program is from 10AM to 1PM.

bag of tortilla chips (Or you can make your own chips... use a dozen corn tortillas, cut into strips, and fry with extra virgin olive oil)
3 radishes, sliced
2 green onions, chopped
