If you haven't experienced Omaha and U.S. Olympic Trials - Swimming yet, it's time to take the plunge!
The Clink - Omaha, NE

The U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Swimming is our sport's greatest swimming competition. It's more enjoyable and exciting than the Olympic Games. The stunning arena, 100,000 square foot Aqua Zone convention hall, and close proximity to downtown restaurants and hotels makes Omaha an ideal vacation destination. You can literally walk to everything. More than 250 alums and family came together in 2012 for the biggest ever assembly of U.S. National Team members!

The 2016 Alumni Reunion in Omaha is already on track to be bigger. 1956, 1976 and 1996 Olympians will celebrate their 60, 40 or 20 year anniversaries, and will be honored on-deck prior to finals before a crowd of 15,000 swim fans

Thank you to our Omaha to Rio "team captains" who have volunteered their time to rally their fellow teammates to come to Omaha next summer for an experience they'll cherish and never forget!
1956 Olympian, Carin Cone Vanderbush
1976 Olympians Janis Hape Dowd and John Naber
1996 Olympian Ryan Berbue

Kristy Kowal is a founding member of the Georgia Bulldogs dynasty. She lead the University of Georgia to two NCAA Team Titles and was crowned NCAA Swimmer of the year in 1999 and 2000, and was named NCAA Woman of the Year in 2000. In addition to being the first American woman under a minute in the 100 breaststroke, she won eight NCAA titles, collected ten national titles, eight American Records and one World Record. Kristy claimed new ground on the international side as the first American woman to win a world championships title in the 100 breaststroke. At the 2000 Olympics she won silver in the 200 breaststroke

Kristy is now an elementary school teacher in Pennsylvania. She uses her summers off to travel the country, hosting clinics, giving speeches and inspiring countless kids to follow their dreams. Kristy often appears to be everywhere in swimming.  She's very swim-social. Behind the scenes for the last four years, she's been instrumental in helping us organize and make USA National Teams socials a success. I can't imagine doing one without calling Kristy for guidance. If you don't know Kristy, connect with her on Facebook and congratulate her on her upcoming induction into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame this October.
