This is just a quick email to touch base and let you know what we are up to. We'd love your input on a couple of things mentioned below so please email us with your thoughts. We look forward to hearing from you!
We may have skipped a year but we certainly made up for the lost time.

Our day was filled with informative presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and general information sharing between owners.

We also discussed this year’s upcoming Spring flotilla, north to Block Island, Rhode Island. Send your flotilla name ideas...after all, we need to make t-shirts!!

For anyone who was unable to attend, we have created a page on our website that has all the presentations that were provided. Click here to enjoy!
Is anyone else having a hard time finding or renewing their insurance policy?

It seems the insurance industry has clamped down on several aspects of their policies from general coverage to the location of coverage, to the value of their vessel. And, some insurance companies have even stopped writing!

One of you fellow owners, (thanks, Omra and Roger on ALLEY CAT II), offered up this information regarding a successful experience getting new coverage:

"We just changed insurance to Edward William Insurance Agency out of Spain. We use email to communicate back and forth. They are prompt to respond. I found them very easy to work with. We have other friends that have been with them some time. They recommended them to us while we were in Bimini a few months ago.

They insure covers us for the U.S. and the entire Caribbean area. They will accept a survey done within the last 5 years. Our boat is covered for 286,000 for $2,817.56."

Thanks again for the tip, Omra and Roger!
Please join us in welcoming Judy and Andrew to the PDQ Family. They recently purchased ABBOTSFORD III (soon to be called ABEAMUS) and plan to start cruising soon. Their plan is to start the Great Loop after a season of local cruising.

All boats have minor fix-its that are necessary over time. Here is one that is not uncommon but also not easy to rectify...until now.
James Power, whom we refer to as our PDQ “guru”, recently completed this repair to ONWARD, Tim and Ellen’s 2003 PDQ.

James comes down our way every winter and helps keep the fleet in tip-top shape. Click here to contact James.

One of our owners has offered up a great opportunity: a swap of their PDQ 34 in Anacortes, Washington, in exchange for the use of a 34 on the East Coast. Beth and Toni would be happy to chat with other owners who might be interested in making this connection. Click here to contact Beth for more details and information.
We love to get recommendations from other owners about products they have found very useful while cruising. Here are a few items we discussed at January’s Owner’s Gathering.
