Consider Alternative Giving this Holiday Season
Are you unsure what to get your friends and family this holiday season? Wondering how you can make a difference?

Consider alternative giving this year! For every donation you make, you will receive a beautifully designed card to send to a loved one as a meaningful gift. The card will contain a description of how your gift is supporting Laurel House. You may send the card yourself or request that we send it on your behalf. Click Here to learn more!

Giving Tuesday is almost here! Everyone deserves a safe place to call home – especially when we have to stay at home.

This year, Giving Tuesday is December 1st. Your gifts are so impactful, and this year is no different. Laurel House is committed to serving those impacted by domestic abuse, and ensuring they have a safe space. Your gift allows us to provide that safe space.

Please consider a gift in any amount and #GivetoDV!
Thanksgiving Update

We all know that this Thanksgiving will look very different compared to others. Despite the uncertainty, we want to assure you that Laurel House has received ample Thanksgiving donations! We received donations of turkeys, boxed mashed potatoes and stuffing, canned goods, fresh produce, prepared hot meals, baskets of food, desserts, gift cards, monetary donations, and more!
Because of this generosity, Laurel House will provide 53 families with a turkey and all the fixings for a traditional meal this Thanksgiving.
Without our generous donors, this would not be possible! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
Wreaths of Hope

Valley Forge Casino's holiday decorating contest is back! This year, organizations are invited to design wreaths for a cash donation prize, and Marian's Attic will be decorating a wreath on behalf of Laurel House. From November 23 to December 16, Boyd Gaming customers will be invited to vote for their favorite wreath.
Holiday Needs

The Holidays are quickly approaching and we need your help! Below is a list of ways to help Laurel House this holiday season:
Adopt a Family Program: This year, we have seen an increase in the number of clients reaching out needing assistance. Last year, our Adopt a Family Program had 120 families. This year, our numbers have grown to 165 families needing help during the holidays. With this increase, we are looking for more donors to help adopt these families. For more information about our Adopt a Family Program, please email Andrea at adevenney@laurel-house.org.
Monetary Donations - Help support Laurel House by making a monetary donation to help us better serve our clients. Your generous unrestricted donation will allow us the flexibility to directly support the needs of our clients, which can vary greatly from family to family.
Wish List Items – Due to the ongoing public health crisis, we are asking donors to consider providing gift cards this holiday season. Gift cards are used to help a client purchase food, clothing, medications, gas, etc. If you would prefer to donate specific items, please check out our Holiday Wish List. All items on the wishlist can be ordered through AmazonSmile. AmazonSmile will also donate to Laurel House, at no cost to you.
If you have any questions, please call our main office at 610-277-1860.
