V-55 Demo

The Valhalla Boatworks demo team is pumped for Jimmy Johnson’s “Quest for the Ring” Championship Fishing Week (March 5-9) out of Hollywood, FL. And it’s no wonder – they’ll be fishing an absolute beast of a center console – an Aristo Blue Valhalla 55, powered with quad Merc 600s and outfitted with a custom Palm Beach Towers gap tower, 35-foot Gemlux carbon fiber Gulf Stream Outriggers and an arsenal of fishing equipment and accessories.

A Release Marine teak rocket launcher holds eight rods; with twin dive doors, you can board, dive or boat a fish from either side; a full-width mezzanine seat is a great place to keep an eye on your baits and holds twin refrigerated boxes; the seating module is also home to a grill to port and a sink to starboard with a pop-up cockpit-facing 24-inch Garmin display in between. The tower has 14 welded-on rod holders.

Under the cockpit sole and forward of the lazarette you have superb access to the Seakeeper 9 (centerline), the ElectroSea CLEARLINE System to port and engine batteries (in custom fiberglass boxes) to starboard.

Two rows of Release Marine teak seating contain a combined nine chairs with flip-up bolsters and armrests. The raised helm platform and the footrests in each row are also covered in teak. In Valhalla’s signature recessed black acrylic dash, there’s a trio of Garmin’s new 22-inch MFDs (multifunction displays), and the ProCurve wraparound enclosure offers excellent visibility. Rod holders are everywhere – in the coamings, along the forward lounge sides and on top of the mezzanine backrest. Custom lockable rod storage boxes (below) are neatly integrated into the gunwales and capable of holding rods, gaffs, chamois mops or whatever gear you’d like.

The bow maintains fishing accessibility while also providing ample seating with premium upholstery featuring attractive Diamond/Bentley stitching. A huge insulated fish box under the foredeck can swallow your biggest catch of the day, and there’s a second live well under the forward end of the console lounge.

Below, the accommodations are on the same level as a Viking with beautifully finished horizontal grain walnut, ample natural light, a feature-packed galley featuring an Invisacook Induction cooktop, an L-shaped dinette convertible to queen bed and easy access to the head from the galley/dinette.

The forward area is dedicated to the private stateroom with its raised walk-around queen bed (with storage underneath); 24-inch HD TV; port-side ensuite head with vanity and sink; and separate enclosed shower on the stateroom’s starboard side.

Accessed through an aft bulkhead door in the bunk area, the V-55’s machinery room contains the house batteries and battery chargers, fire and ventilation systems, water heater, battery switches, generator, access to the electronics, fuel management systems as well as optional systems including a Spot Zero combo unit (water maker and purifier) and an Arid Dry Bilge System. A 15 kW genset was chosen as standard equipment to ensure ample power for air conditioning, refrigeration and operation of a Seakeeper 9. The demo boat also has a custom storage location for a pair of electric reels.
