This is for caregivers, care receivers, other family members and friends. Interested or Questions: Please email Lois, JLC Care Coordinator at [email protected]

Thank you!

Flowers
Many opportunities to provide altar flowers are open in the coming weeks. It's easy to choose a date using the SignupGenius chart HERE.
Payment is simple on the website or via check. In either instance, please note "flowers" in the memo area.
Used vases may be returned to the donation station in the narthex.
On December 18th, over 2.4 million wreaths were laid on military graves around the country and around the world. This photo was taken at Ft. Logan. There are over 150,000 graves at Ft. Logan, and we only had a little over 12,000 wreaths to lay. Next year's wreath laying day will be on December 17, 2022. The Joy Military Ministry is set up to take orders for wreaths for 2022. Between now and January 14, for every wreath purchased ($15 each), a matching wreath will be donated by Wreaths Across America to our Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Your help during this time by purchasing a wreath before January 14 will give us double the number of wreaths. Use this link to purchase wreaths.
The Joy Military Ministry will be having their next meeting on Wednesday, January 19 at 6:30pm. Even if you are not interested in serving on the Ministry team, we would really like to have as many veterans as possible attend this meeting so we can meet you and get your suggestions on where you would like to see this ministry place its focus for the coming year.
More donations are needed for Afghan refugees.
The Joy Military Ministry is in need of more donations for Afghan refugee families.  Please note there is a very specific list. The following are the ONLY items needed:
  • dishes, silverware, glasses
  • cookware including stock pots
  • twin sheet sets and blankets
  • towel sets
Please bring only new or gently-used items in very good condition.
Joyful Mission Preschool registration for the Fall 2022 – Spring 2023 school year, opens to current families and church families on January 1st. In case you missed it:
REGARDING COVID PROTOCOLS - The JLC Council continues to strongly recommend wearing a mask over your nose and mouth any time you are indoors at the church, regardless of vaccination status.

LIVE STREAMING - It is now possible to watch JLC worship live and feel more included than ever in the JOY community! All JOY worship services will be live-streamed going forward. Instructions:
  • Visit www.joylc.org and look for the blue banner at the very top of the home page.
  • Click "Join Chat" (or "Watch Now," if the broadcast has already begun) to open the video window.
  • Click the "unmute" icon at the top of the video window.
  • Click the set of 4 small arrows at the bottom right of the video window to expand the video image to full screen.

WOMEN OF JOY - If you were unable to attend the Christmas dinner you may still participate as a Secret Prayer Sister. Just fill out the information on the secret sister cards (located on the WOJ table in the fellowship hall) and leave in basket provided. A Secret Prayer Sister prays for her chosen Secret Prayer Sister daily, sends cards and small gifts monthly throughout the year (gifts can be left on the WOJ table in fellowship hall), gives a special gift to her Secret Prayer Sister at the Christmas dinner 2022.

PURELY SOCIAL - P.S. will return in January with a fun activity (watch for updates after the New Year) and February holds an exciting surprise. Mark your calendars now for Thursday, January 27th at 1:00 and Thursday, February 24th at noon.

SERVANT DAY COORDINATOR(S) NEEDED - We are seeking someone to lead Servant Day 2022...or two or three someones. Servant Day is a single day where we all join in lots of servant-minded projects - some on site at JOY, others elsewhere. Pastor Ryan has offered his help, as have the previous leaders, Jennifer and Bart. The date is set for the last Saturday in April. More information: Donna Heim or Pastor Ryan
