On the Cusp of the Spring Equinox

Beloved Neighborhood Community,

It’s been a while since I’ve written, and wow, life seems to be moving at warp speed. So many things happening in the macrocosm; a lunar eclipse, Spring Equinox, Mercury in Retrograde (and although I don’t truly know what that entails, it seems to affect my life in challenging ways), and in India, they just celebrated Holi Festival or the Festival of Colors signifying the arrival of Spring.

Maybe you're feeling some shift in your own microcosm, however subtle or dramatic? Personally, I turned another year older this month, and I’m feeling the shift!

This is a powerful time for each of us to lean in compassionately, do the work, connect with our dharma, and realign ourselves with nature. Here we are on the cusp of the Spring Equinox, with equal parts of day and night, bringing a sense of balance and harmony, and symbolizing the season of rebirth, growth, and reawakening. It is a renewal of energy from the drawing in of Winter, the contracting, to the unfurling of Spring. It’s also the renewal of our own soul's journey.

What’s softening, expanding, unfolding for you? Whatever that may be, I hope we can support you in that process as we all move forward, individually and collectively, with clear vision and inspired action. I’m so grateful for this community as you continue to show up in so many ways to help each other ground, grow, and expand. Thank you for being a part of that.

With gratitude,

Valerie and the Neighborhood Yoga and Rooted on King Staff

PS This is a sweet memory of Holi Festival in India, 2012 with our dear hosts, the Johari family.
