ARCHITECTURE
First-year students in multiple sections of ARC 1021L (Foundations of Architectural Design II) concluded a year of analog and digital skill-building and extensive case studies of civic institutions around the world by adapting what they learned to design a 10,000-square-foot building to act as a gateway to the
Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies
.
(Pictured: Designs by first-year students

"This first year studio traditionally addresses the design of site, topography and circulation," said Assistant Professor
Robert Alexander
. "With that in mind students were asked to design projects for two sites at the Center – one representing an uphill slope and the other a downhill one."

is the college's first ENV Career Specialist. Below, she shares advice on what students can still do to make themselves job- and career-ready in the current economic climate.
