Dillon Stadium

Newfield Construction was recently awarded the Dillon Stadium renovations, repairs and improvements project. Pre-construction has begun for the fast-track stadium in the South End of Hartford, Connecticut. The project consists of a new state-of-the-art synthetic soccer field, upgrades to the seating, lighting, sound system, concessions, restroom, and locker rooms, as well as a new site entrance and press box. A new soccer team that will be part of the United Soccer League is scheduled to begin playing at Dillon in Spring 2019.  (Rendering courtesy of Hartford Sports Group)
Rocky Hill Intermediate School
Rocky Hill, CT
Construction is underway at the new Rocky Hill Intermediate School located in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. The new 79,150sf school will serve to alleviate overcrowding in the Town's two existing Kindergarten through 5th grade schools. Once complete, the Town's 4th and 5th grade students will relocate to the new building. The school's focus will be to integrate science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education across the curriculum. The building will provide space and equipment to effectively nurture problem-solving skills through hands-on learning while embedded with the Connecticut Science Standards. Stanley Tools Visits Loomis Chaffee School, Campus Center Project

Stanley Black & Decker chose Newfield's Loomis Chaffee Campus Center project as a great location to showcase and market their new 2018 FATMAX tape measures. They spent the day on-site with us, touring the project, talking with the construction crew and handing out free gear to the workers. Check it out on Stanley's website and social media on July 14, National Tape Measure Day. Thanks to the Stanley crew for an awesome time.
Smalley Elementary School
New Britain, CT
We broke ground at Smalley Elementary School in New Britain, Connecticut. The 24,000sf addition and 82,000sf renovation project will provide adequate and appropriate classroom space to accommodate the anticipated enrollment and school programs for the future. The scope of the project will entail all spaces within the building including the classrooms, library and media center, auditorium, cafeteria, administrative offices, health services suite and the gymnasium. This project will meet the high performance build specifications and adhere to LEED construction standards.
Welcome Back!
Newfield Construction is pleased to welcome back  Rob Zak  as Superintendent. Rob has extensive experience on a variety of building types, including numerous projects for the educational, municipal and private sectors. He has a broad knowledge of construction, having spent over 25 years in the industry. Rob is currently working on Weaver High School in Hartford.
Newfield Construction is also excited to welcome back  Kevin Nelson  as MEP and IT Manager. Kevin has nearly 40 years of experience in the construction industry and has an extensive knowledge of the process from start to finish. His creation of virtual BIM models for new projects is beneficial in understanding the level of detail required to provide adequate visualization. He will also provide in-house IT support for the entire office.
New Hires
Kamil Musial, joins Newfield Construction's staff as Project Engineer. Kamil has two years of experience in the construction industry. He is responsible for managing submittals and RFI's as well as updating contract data, documentation and supporting the daily activities of the Project Manager and Superintendent. Kamil is currently working on Smalley Elementary School in New Britain.

Patrick O'Loughlin joins the firm as Assistant Project Manager. Patrick brings seven years of experience in the construction industry with him to Newfield Construction. He is currently working on the Community Health Center project in Stamford where he supports the Project Executive and Superintendent. 

Newfield Construction welcomes Patrick O'Neill  to the Team as Superintendent. Patrick has been in the construction industry for 45 years. Some of his daily activities include scheduling, inspections, quality control and job site safety. He is currently working on Smalley Elementary School in New Britain.

Thomas D'Orvilliers joins the firm as Project Engineer. Growing up in the construction field, Thomas has nearly ten years of experience that he brings to Newfield Construction. He is currently aiding in multiple projects with activities such as submittal and RFI management, meeting minutes, daily field reports, and change management.
