GOING GLOBAL
This December our short film Waiting Patient will screen at the Global Health Film Festival in London. Filmed in Haiti last summer, this short film is our first international production, so we were thrilled when it recently won Best Short Documentary Editing at the Amsterdam Film Festival.

Many thanks to GoPro, who sponsored Waiting Patient with cameras and gear. Read more about GoPro's sponsorship, the film and how we used their equipment here.
FIRST FEATURE FILM
We are very excited to be filming our first feature-length documentary on location in Oakland . This project was given a great jumpstart thanks to support from the Moriah Fund , free office space donated by Saybrook University and fiscal sponsorship by the International Documentary Association .

But we need your help.

We are hoping to raise $30K by the end of the year to support production, including for our Malik Smith Internship Program. Our paid interns gain valuable experience through the independent film production process. Please support our internship program with a donation today.
SUPPORTING SF SCHOLARS
Sometimes a project crosses our desk that is so aligned with our mission we simply must do it. Such was the case when SEO Scholars San Francisco asked us to create a video to tell the world how they help low-income, first generation students get into college and graduate.

The video was shown at the SEO Scholars benefit last night in San Francisco, and we look forward to sharing it with you soon. Spoiler alert: we strongly believe every student should have the opportunity to go to, and graduate from, college.
GIMME TRUTH!

Recently, Loudspeaker Films founder Kelly Amis got to be a contestant in Gimme Truth! at the Montalban Theater in Los Angeles . Hosted by comedian Brian Babylon (NPR’s Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me ), America’s favorite (and, er, only) documentary game show challenges the audience and a panel of esteemed celebrity judges to determine truthiness.

Side note: one of the evening's judges, Sandi Tan, recently released her one-of-a-kind documentary Shirkers. We highly recommend!

Gimme Truth! was part of the The International Documentary Association's recent conference, a must-attend event for new and experienced filmmakers alike.
